About the Role
This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday to Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for working with various business teams and IT teams, extracting data through relational databases or cloud platforms; designing, developing, and supporting reports and dashboards using Qlik/MicroStrategy or other BI technologies to inform business critical decisions. One will be expected to analyze complex business challenges within the store environment. This position is expected to identify and implement departmental and company strategic initiatives that result in measured operating efficiencies and improved customer/associate experience
Job Description
What You’ll Do

Compile financial or operational information - Prepare and summarize data, comparing actual or expected results to the prior period or plan

Identify trends and outliers to inform partners

Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of information prior to communication

Leverage data and business experience to make informed recommendations that drive operational efficiencies and customer experience

Evaluate broad business impacts related to recommendation outcomes

Influence cross-functional partners on existing initiatives and identify opportunities for future initiatives

Simplify and communicate results and recommendations with senior leaders

Develop Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to support business needs, following BI development best practices and innovative use of appropriate technologies and systems.

Consult with partners to identify KPIs required to support critical business decisions.

Work effectively with business teams in all phases of BI development projects, including requirements gathering, design, testing and change management

Applies complex data derivations, business transformation rules, and data requirements

Creates data visualizations to help support data exploration & translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions

Identify and collect primary and secondary data variables to holistically answer business questions.

Maintain an understanding of the structure and location of various data sources to be utilized.

Present recommendations for optimizing data structures to drive greater insights in the most effective manner

Pull and manipulate data to best integrate with BI toolsets.

Identify and set up processes for data quality checks.

What Skills You Have
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
-
3+ years of relevant professional experience in a data analysis role
-
Advanced skills in SQL with Big Query, MY SQL, etc and programming with Python and R
-
Proficiency in data visualization (Qlik, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc) with experience in designing and delivering cross functional custom analytical solutions.

Experience using cloud data warehouses such as Google Big Query

Strong knowledge of data modeling and visualization techniques
