THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Senior Business Development Manager within Zalando's Private Label division, you will shape and implement strategic initiatives that elevate our exclusive brands and contribute to our vision of becoming the lighthouse for sustainable fashion. While sustainability plays an essential role in our business, your responsibilities will encompass defining, managing, and executing key projects of the operational plan that drive innovation, growth, and impact.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, ensuring the successful execution of projects that align with Zalando's overall goals. This is a 12 months contract.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Develop and manage comprehensive operational plans for Zalando’s private label business, driving key projects from ideation to execution while ensuring alignment with company objectives.

• Identify and capitalize on business opportunities to expand the reach and impact of our private label portfolio, keeping customer and market trends in focus.

• Support the team in developing strategic opportunities, such as sustainability-related topics but not limited to, while tracking and evaluating market trends, developments and business opportunities

• Monitor project performance and key business metrics, providing insights and recommendations to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

• Work closely with teams across commercial and supply as well as with functions such as dmc or central sustainability to ensure seamless coordination and integration of initiatives.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have at least 7+ years of experience in business development, project management, or operational strategy, preferably within retail or e-commerce.

• You bring a track record of managing and executing complex projects with multiple stakeholders across diverse teams.

• You are passionate about sustainability and have experience integrating sustainable practices into broader business strategies.

• You have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align teams at all levels of the organization.

• You are highly analytical and data-driven, comfortable with using performance metrics to inform decisions.

• Experience in the fashion, retail, or consumer goods sectors is an advantage.
