JOB SUMMARY
Critical member of the On Road & Marine PG&A Category team responsible for providing and improving PG&A reporting and analysis to drive revenue, profitability, ecommerce sales, and dealer retail growth. Responsible for consumer and competitive analysis, sales and commodity trends, and interpreting data to make sound recommendations.
Searching for a seasoned Business Analyst interested in expanding their business acumen outside of pure analytics by leveraging their analytical horsepower to improve PG&A’s promotional execution: Define promotional strategies & calendars, testing, analyzing results, and providing recommendations leveraging quantitative (data) and qualitative (sales team/dealer) feedback. The ideal candidate has an interest in both back-end analytics but also learning more about front-end promotional go-to-market execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Develop and present weekly & monthly business insights for the On Road & Marine Category team, including commodity reports, sales trends, $/unit, and attachment rates
- Provide timely and accurate monthly reports with in-depth analysis and recommendations to accelerate sales growth
- Collaborate with team leaders to identify commodity performance and recommend improvement opportunities
- Leverage competitive and sales data to develop business cases and manage short- and long-term improvement plans
- Utilize external databases, including Dealer Management Systems, to define, gather, and analyze dealer retail and inventory data
- Work with PG&A and Marketing to obtain and analyze consumer insights at each step of the consumer experience
- Provide input to the category team for Long Range Product Planning, product launches, and category plans
- Identify positive and negative sales trends and drive countermeasure actions with the category team
- Analyze new markets to help develop business cases, line plans, and set $/unit goals
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations as requested
- Develop sales programs including promotions and wholesale strategies
- Provide recommendations & support execution of promotional strategies in market (dealers/ecommerce)
- Analyze promotional results including retail lift vs. promotional spend to maximize demand and optimize profitability
- Visit dealerships and/or support consumer events to capture quantitative inputs on promotional strategies and executions
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, and/or finance
- 5+ years’ experience in business analytics
- Strong analytical skills; knowledge and experience with quantitative and qualitative data tools
- Ability to turn data into insights to inform business decisions
- Cross-functional influencing capabilities, able to work well across and up and down the organization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities
- Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Power BI experience
WORKNG CONDITIONS
- Standard hybrid office environment
- Travel up to 15% of the time (dealer visits, consumer events, dealer show support)
The pay range for Minnesota is $91,000 to $115,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
