Work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals while supporting compliance with related legislation, policies and standards.

About the role

• Prepare ongoing reviews and evaluation of business processes, and develop optimisation strategies.

• Plan and manage the Business Analysis approach to any project or BAU initiative.

• Elicit, analyse, document, communicate, and manage the business requirements.

• Provide subject matter expert guidance to assist in pilot and implementation planning, change management and test planning and training materials production.

• Design and implement strategies for gathering, reviewing and analysing data requirements.

• Translate complex business, strategic and technical information concisely for diverse audiences.

• Understand, document and communicate the objectives, drivers and business value proposition of a change.

• Prioritise initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

• Provide Business Analysis support of seed funding initiatives and Business Analysis input toward the formation of Business Cases.

• Perform solution evaluation during procurement, Proof of Concept, pilot and post implementation phases to ensure appropriate quality and fitness for purpose.

• Create representative and conceptual models, prototypes, mock-ups and business and technical specifications.

• Ensure that all requirements are clearly captured and understood through effective communication, coordination and documentation.

About you

• Strongly prefer IIBA CBAP Certification or equivalent demonstrated experience. Support certification.

• Demonstrates strong aptitude for Business Analysis and has experience in a broad range of the tools and techniques utilised by Business Analysts.

• Require and support development of BA Practice internally through a relevant leadership, mentoring or resource development role in the RBA BA Community of Practice.

• Require at least practical / applied business analysis formal training. Encourage and support relevant ongoing commitment to formal or self-directed training and cross-skill initiatives.

• Can create well-structured presentation material for workshops, training sessions and senior management meetings using appropriate tools, techniques and technologies.

• Makes appropriate choices between Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint for documentation purposes, guiding others on appropriate standards to achieve discoverability and Accessibility of content suited to the purpose of the documentation.

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge/proficiency with business process modelling, traceability and quality management techniques.

• Serves as a project/initiative knowledge steward and requirements expert, communicating business and technical concepts between the business and technical stakeholders.

• Communicates complex and highly specialised issues in a way that is relevant and accessible to both a business and technical audience.

• Demonstrated experience in Requirements Management and can independently fulfil the BA activities and deliverables accordingly.

• Demonstrated experience in solution evaluation and can conduct solution analysis, document findings and make recommendations.

• Demonstrated experience in workflow concepts and can contribute to the analysis, documentation, design, monitoring and improvement of workflows.

• Training or experience in modelling notation standards such as BPMN and can understand and document models independently, determining whether formal notation or a simpler business-friendly style is required case by case.

• Demonstrated experience in Business Process Management (or equivalent) and can independently fulfil the BA activities and deliverables accordingly.

• Demonstrated experience within more than one project methodology such as waterfall, PMBOK, Prince2 and agile-type methodologies and can independently fulfil the BA activities and deliverables accordingly.
