We are seeking a Senior AV Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and support of next-generation conference room AV solutions and high-quality town hall productions. This individual will be responsible for architecting innovative, scalable, and user-friendly AV environments while ensuring seamless operation across all major video conferencing (VC) platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Google Meet.
The ideal candidate is a technical expert with a deep understanding of modern AV technologies, an ability to drive innovation in meeting spaces, and hands-on experience managing large-scale live events and high-stakes executive productions.
Key Responsibilities
AV Architecture & Conference Room Innovation
- Design and implement next-generation AV solutions for conference rooms, huddle spaces, and executive boardrooms.
- Lead the standardization and integration of AV hardware and software across corporate spaces.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge AV technologies to enhance user experience and improve meeting efficiency.
- Develop AV system roadmaps, best practices, and governance for long-term scalability.
Town Hall & Live Event Production
- Lead AV production for major corporate events, executive town halls, and live streams.
- Oversee camera setups, audio mixing, lighting, and streaming workflows to ensure high-quality broadcasts.
- Collaborate with IT and communications teams to optimize hybrid and virtual event experiences.
- Troubleshoot and execute last-minute adjustments under high-pressure situations to ensure flawless events.
AV Platform & Infrastructure Management
- Maintain expert-level proficiency across Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Meet, and other VC platforms.
- Optimize AV network configurations, integrations, and API-based automation for seamless connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex audio, video, and conferencing issues in a global enterprise environment.
- Ensure AV solutions comply with enterprise security, compliance, and accessibility standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Support
- Provide technical guidance to executive stakeholders, IT teams, and facilities teams on AV strategy.
- Train and mentor junior AV engineers to ensure operational excellence.
- Develop documentation, user training materials, and knowledge bases to improve self-service support.
- Engage with vendors and integrators to evaluate, test, and deploy enterprise-grade AV solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in AV engineering, enterprise conferencing, and live event production.
- Deep expertise with Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Cisco Webex Rooms, Google Meet Hardware, and other leading UC platforms.
- Proven experience architecting enterprise AV solutions across global conference room deployments.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AV hardware (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Shure, Biamp, Logitech, Poly, Neat, etc.).
- Experience in live event production including camera operations, professional audio mixing, lighting control, and video streaming.
- Understanding of AV-over-IP, Dante audio networking, NDI, RTMP/SRT streaming protocols.
- Familiarity with API integrations, automation, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or relevant automation tools).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with executive leadership and end-users.
- Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron DMC-E, Q-SYS Level 2, Dante Level 2+ are a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in large-scale corporate environments or managing AV for Fortune 500 companies.
- Background in broadcast production, post-production editing, or video engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AV monitoring and management tools (Zoom Device Management, Microsoft Teams Admin Center, Crestron XiO, etc.).
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
