As the Senior Associate, HR Project and Process Optimization, you support the design, documentation, and implementation of optimized HR projects, workflows, and systems. Leveraging lean principles, project management, value stream mapping techniques, and an understanding of Workday’s process architecture, you will enable a better employee experience by improving efficiency, scalability, and improved work placement across global HR operations. Further you will work with our HR Centers of Excellences as the project manager of specific initiatives, supporting the end-to-end deployment of new and updated programs and process. This role requires a keen collaborator with strong skills in project management, workflow design, process transformation, HR systems, and change management to successfully enable essential end-to-end improvements for the function’s top priorities.
Key Duties:

Support development and execution of HR Workflow Transformation Roadmap: Based on each year’s priorities, you will be an integral part of the team that designs an annual and ongoing prioritized plan for to address and sequence essential HR processes, applying lean process management principles to minimize inefficiencies and enhance productivity.

Optimize HR process workflows: Partner with cross-functional team members to map, document, and streamline workflows, ensuring work movement across the function is clear and a seamless integration with global HR systems and technologies.

Create, and maintain, HR project and process documentation: Maintain a library housing all HR process and practice documentation to ensure current, up-to-date materials are available for all team members, leveraging standard templates.

Develops project plans and implementation strategies in collaboration w/ SMEs to execute sustainable/repeatable/ and one-time projects.

Prioritizes and manages multiple HR projects from start to finish, ensuring they align with organizational goals, including planning, execution, and monitoring HR initiatives, focusing on improving HR effectiveness and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specifications.

Provides project planning, milestone management, scope management, and resource forecasting, monitoring the projects from initiation through delivery.

Value stream mapping: Conduct the visualization of end-to-end HR processes, identifying opportunities to eliminate unnecessary actions and improve efficiency.

Process documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides to ensure consistent execution and compliance across the organization.

Governance and compliance: Develop processes that adhere to global HR laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements, establishing a framework for consistent governance.

Enhance process metrics and analytics: Partnering with the HR Transformation Team and key stakeholders, define key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverage analytics to monitor the effectiveness of HR projects and processes, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: As part of the HR Transformation team, work closely with the HR Shared Services, HRIT, center of excellence teammates, HR business partners, legal, communications and other cross-functional team members to ensure process alignment, compliance, and stakeholder buy-in.

Innovation and best practices: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in HR and process transformation, bringing forward innovative ideas to enhance HR operations.
Qualifications:

Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage complex global HR transformation projects.

Strong change management skills to effectively drive organizational change and adoption of new HR solutions/processes.

Proven experience in process transformation, workflow management, and value stream mapping and project management within HR or similar functions for at least three years.

Strong expertise in lean methodologies such as Six Sigma, agile practices, and process documentation and project management models and techniques.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to address intricate challenges and drive impactful solutions.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience with change management frameworks, and their application, to effectively guide organizational change and employee adoption of new processes.

Familiarity with Workday process flows and experience with workflow management platforms to streamline HR processes.

Demonstrated ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders, ensuring strong communication flow and collaboration during transformation initiatives.

Experience working in multinational environments, with an understanding of cultural nuances and global HR compliance requirements, to tailor solutions that align with regional needs.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, IT, or a related field preferred.

Professional certifications in process transformation or project management, such as Six Sigma, PMP, or CBPA/CBPP/CBPL, are strongly preferred, as well as experience with SmartSheet and/or similar project management software tools to integrate manage and monitor complex projects.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $95,000-$130,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $109,250-$149,500. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
