This role entails leading the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust software architectures specifically for cloud-based SaaS applications, collaborating closely with engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring high performance, reliability, and alignment with SaaS best practices;. This role often involves deep expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with experience in designing distributed systems, microservices, and API architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Vision and Design: Define and lead the overall application architecture for SaaS products, considering scalability, performance, security, and future growth needs.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices for SaaS applications.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Leverage cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) to design and implement scalable, cost-effective cloud-native architectures.
• Microservices Design: Design and implement microservices-based architectures, including API gateways, service discovery, and distributed messaging.
• System Integration: Lead integration of SaaS applications with internal systems and third-party services, ensuring data consistency and smooth workflows.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to maintain high availability and responsiveness.
• Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data within the SaaS platform, adhering to industry standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed architectural documentation, including design diagrams and technical specifications, and share knowledge with the development team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in architecting systems in preferably, Dot.Net / C# / Angular / React and etc. technologies.
• Deep understanding of SaaS principles: Extensive experience with designing and building scalable, multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Cloud Computing Expertise: Proficient in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in cloud services like compute, storage, databases, and networking.
• Software Architecture Patterns: Knowledge of design patterns like microservices, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems. Modernization of moving from a distributed to microservices architecture is a definite plus.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in relevant programming languages depending on the technology stack, Dot.Net, C# and/or Node.js, React, Caching, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MS SQL, MongoDB, NoSQL Dbs like Cosmosdb, and etc.
• API Design: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and API gateways.
• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
