The Senior Analyst, Technical Documentation for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for creating high quality, accurate, user-friendly documentation for existing product lines and new product development.
This position is part of the Diagnostics Technical Publications Team located in Bangalore and will be an on-site position. At Beckman Coulter, our mission is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time.
You will be a part of the Diagnostics Technical Publications Team and report to the Senior Manager, Technical Publications responsible for Diagnostics system documentation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Ensure quality and technical accuracy of content (you adhere to the company’s Style Guide, terminology guidelines, and relevant best-practice guidelines) and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project status and issues to project teams and/or other stakeholders, as required.
- Use your excellent problem-solving skills for solving complex problems and contributing to workshops and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop your skills for supporting Technical Publications activities and objectives.
- Contribute to our service manual, instructions for use, and content localization processes.
- Provide support for the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs processes that the team adheres to.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field and at least 5 to 8 years of technical writing experience, ideally in the medical device field.
- Advanced-level skills in communication, writing, and grammar skills in the English language at the native-speaker level.
- Ability to take ownership of complex projects, guide and or mentor team members, and effectively collaborate with SMEs and project leads.
- Advanced-level experience in the creation and management of technical documentation in a regulated environment.
- Expert in understanding and using content management systems (CMSs), XML, and DITA.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- SDL TriSoft, XMetal, Acrolinx, Illustrator.
- Terminology management.
- Working in a diverse, multinational R&D environment, and in an Agile development process.
