Reports to Rochester NY - Scottsville, NY, or Kirkwood General Office
The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $77,000 - $95,233
Job Summary
Leads initiatives to gather, manipulate, analyze, and provide reporting of asset data. Works with large and often times incomplete data sets. Develop variations of analytical and reporting approaches to best communicate asset management information as well as enhance ability to utilize data in the application of asset management strategies.
Supports reliability improvement analysis including work with defective equipment, outage database data, and circuit performance data.
Analyzes asset condition data and plans programs consistent with best practices to provide guidance to expenditure planning and prioritization. Risks will also be considered in the analysis.
May recommend and develop programs and strategies including 10 year asset management and replacement recommendations.
Using best practices, applies asset management approaches within regulatory, legal, and other specified parameters that optimize the use of assets in accordance with the asset management policy.
Interacts with subject matter experts to make sure asset management practices are effective, data is properly gathered and analyzed, applications are structured for optimum effectiveness, and risks are appropriately considered and managed.
Effectively communicates asset management plans and the strategies and policies that guided the creation of the plans to internal stakeholders. May be required to also present and advocate for the plans externally.
Mentors and trains junior members of the Project Development organization.
Drives creative solutions and communicate/suggest best practices to management and colleagues.
Performs procurement and invoicing functions
Maintains up-to-date documentation and procedures.
Participates in global and local projects.

The following skills and associated competency levels are desired of those candidates seeking a position in Asset Health & Risk. However, offsetting industry and other relevant technical skills will be considered for candidates without previous experience in these Asset Health & Risk areas.
Technical Skills/Competencies
- Data systems: Strong SAP skills including areas such as equipment records, functional locations, searches, mass data extracts, work orders, and purchase order processes. - Competent
- Analysis : Data analysis and presentation skills including application of statistical approaches, dealing with missing or irregular data. MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Competent
- Data science: Working knowledge of data mining, Big Data, data lakes, data warehousing, and other data management techniques and tools

- Software Proficiency: SAP/BW skills related to areas including functional locations, equipment records, and asset related information. Basic GIS data set use and manipulation. Other applications such as SYSGRIS, FERC, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience required or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in large database construction, manipulation, and data extraction desired.
- Knowledge of energy delivery system design and operation desired.
- Understanding of maintenance and asset management principles desired.
