Summary:
In this role, you will represent the foundation of a larger decision matrix used by aggregation groups to make informed decisions about supply purchases and contracting. You will take raw data, cleanse it, organize it and generate reports in a way that tells a story.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze purchase order line-item data, submitted by member organizations, to determine if the dataset is complete.
- Mine data for missing spend.
- Use sound judgment to correct inaccurate line items.
- Build cross-references from existing national contracts and cross reference databases.
- Apply appropriate price and benchmark data as available.
- Customize analyses to meet customer needs.
- Interpret results and providing key insights that will help members make informed decisions.
- Communicate schedule, workload, progress and expected time to complete projects.
- Load price files for customers upon request.
- Expand category knowledge through experience, research, and networking.
- Remain cognizant of industry changes and challenges that may affect member decisions.
- Establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in an analytical role, preferably working with healthcare supply chain or clinical data.
- Experience with a group purchasing organization (GPO), health care institution, or healthcare distributor/manufacturer a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Word a plus.
- Some SQL and VBA knowledge a plus.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
