Summary Generated by Built In

We're looking for an analytical data whizz, with a knack for increasing visibility and intelligence with their amazing insights. You gotta like people, as you will partner with some really cool ones, in multiple functional areas of the business, bringing data and reports to life. We could go into loads of detail (and will below), but basically, we want someone to come in and eat data for a living, provide fact-based insights, and work with us on data-driven decisions. Ooni has a hybrid approach to work, with a minimum of 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) at our office in Austin, TX.
Oh, and you will have the opportunity to eat a lot of pizza, along with the data.
If the stuff that you will be doing, as described below, sounds familiar, and you are confident that you can do this stuff in your sleep, then let's chat.
OK, here's the detail as promised:
What you'll do:

  • Analyze available data and reports, and seek out and access critical missing data.
  • Build missing reports, that will further enable improved intelligence, provide insights, and identification of opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities, provide insights, and partner with leadership on practical business solutions. The data and reports are nothing without the special person to pull out the gems, and opportunities, and to work with subject matter experts on solutions. You are that special person.
  • Partner with cross-functional areas regionally (Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Logistics), and with Global Finance.
  • Be a driver of data-based decision-making - working across functional areas, ensuring decisions are financially sound.
  • You'll mainly work with Stephen (President North America), as well as our regional functional area leaders, Randi (Marketing), Jason (Sales), and DJ (Logistics), our Senior eCommerce Manager (TBA), as well as have a deep connection with our Global Finance Team
  • Develop and produce a monthly North America reporting pack, and provide insights and commentary on each component of the monthly reporting pack:
    • The pack will include reporting that has already been developed, as well as some that are yet to be developed.
    • The insights, commentary, and intelligence that will come out of this report pack are equally, if not more important than the reports themselves.

  • Data and metrics include, but are not limited to:
    • Sell-in
      • Revenue growth trends, forecasts, and seasonal patterns
    • Sell-out
      • Wholesale partner data
    • Inventory planning
      • On hand and planned internally and externally
      • You will work with Sales and Planning to optimize available inventory
    • Profitability metrics
      • COGS
      • Deductions
      • Freight and fulfillment
      • Gross margin
      • Contribution margin
    • eCommerce performance metrics
      • Revenue
      • Engaged sessions
      • Average order volume
      • Conversion rates
    • Marketing performance metrics
      • Calculate and report on the cost per acquisition (CPA), and customer lifetime value (CLV)
      • Develop predictive models to forecast the impact of upcoming promotions or campaigns based on historical data.
      • Partner with Sr. Marketing Analytics & Insights Manager on review and assessment of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and attribution analysis to understand which channels, messages or touchpoints drive conversions
      • Marketing budget and spend optimization.
    • New distribution modelling for new products, and new distribution channels.
    • Logistics performance metrics
      • On-time performance
      • Average order value and units per order
      • Space utilization
      • Days inventory on hand
      • Expenses to budget

  • Your analysis will be a key part of our decision-making, so your ability to draw insight, present and be challenged is as important as the reports themselves
  • You'll assist across the NA region with forecasting and budgeting, to make sure we hit the top line and the bottom line
  • Our ERP system is ORACLE Netsuite. It's a bit of a beast - but it's our beast and we love it. We're continually optimizing and building on it and rethinking how we use all of its lovely data. Help us point this wonderful machine towards world domination. By the end, that machine will give you the title of Oracle for your all-seeing wisdom
  • There's loads going on. You'll be busy and need to be super organized. And have fun whilst doing it. Cause pizza

Apply if:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in reporting and using systems. Dealing with real-life products is a bonus. You'll need the ability to embrace complex data to provide valuable insights
  • You've got super analytical skills and demonstrated experience in building spectacular financial models and wrestling mountains of data from multiple sources
  • When you look at numbers, you don't see numbers - you see a beautiful story that is ready to be told. And you will stand on that stage and tell the people. And they may chant your name in return. You are Shakespeare for Excel
  • =if(candidate="awesome at Excel","Woo hoo!","Sorry pal you've got to know your pivot tables from your xlookups for this gig.")
  • You have experience working your way around a big ERP system. Working knowledge of Netsuite would be lovely but by no means essential
  • You are able to transform our gorgeous spreadsheets into beautiful, easy-to-digest visual reports. Experience with Power BI/Tableau would be a bonus but if not we'll turn you into a reporting ninja in no time!
  • You're freakishly organized. If your holiday travel itineraries aren't meticulously planned hour by hour on Excel then I don't even know why you're reading this
  • You can really get on board with our values. Especially Rigor for this job. And even more especially Passion. Actually, especially all of them. They're all important.

What We Do

Why we do what we do?

Because everyone deserves great pizza, that’s why. It’s a simple idea, but a noble cause that’s behind everything we do at Ooni. We’re working our wee socks off and won’t rest until there’s an Ooni pizza oven in the backyard of every person everywhere.

What we do:

We design, make and sell AMAZING pizza ovens. They’re so AMAZING that lower-case adjectives just don’t do them justice.

Right now, we sell our pizza ovens all over the world. Hot and fast is how you cook truly great pizza, and- all of our models get hot as hell (that’s 932°F/500°C last time we checked) and cook incredible pizza in only 60 seconds. Before Ooni, if you wanted pizza that good, you had to go to a restaurant or spend thousands on a traditional pizza oven. Not anymore, friends.

Work with us:

We have a 300-plus-strong multi-national team who are busy designing, selling, branding, internet-ing, events-ing, supporting, marketing, welding, shipping, financing, photographing and dancing (probably) to make magic happen. Ooni is a beautiful machine that grows and learns every day, and it’s really freaking amazing to be a part of it all.

Why Work With Us

Our Impact:

We care about building a business for good and paying it forward, too. We’re a kind business filled with kind people. We donate 1% of every sale to carefully chosen social and environmental causes, and we’re a member of 1% for the Planet, who can totally vouch for us.
