This role of Senior Advanced Analytics & Insights Manager serves as a bridge between our clients and our data scientists and developers. The successful candidate builds project plans and aligns technical specifications to ensure client needs are understood by the internal teams. Conversely, this person translates Data Science outputs into a client-ready format and ensures accuracy and clarity of the deliverables.
Employees in this role may assist or lead execution of workstreams for various clients, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage and execute projects. The role is responsible for day-to-day project needs of the client with the ability to coordinate with global team members and provide quick analytical & data science solutions.
Incumbent may be required to work as an individual contributor and/or manage project teams, with ability to oversee & prioritize across multiple deadlines & projects. Must possess excellent client management, project management, problem solving, and quantitative skills. Ideal candidate will be familiar with offline and online marketing and promotion strategies, marketing operations, data sources, and familiar with methodologies used to assess the impact of promotion, including marketing mix and test/control analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will support advanced analytics delivery in the pharma commercial space, powered by Definitive Healthcare's proprietary statistical/ML software product. In this role, the employee is expected to:
• Capture client objectives and guide execution of advanced analytics solutions for pharmaceutical commercial teams such as brand and digital marketers, sales operations, payer access, and finance.
• Manage marketing optimization projects, including marketing mix modelling, test and control analyses, segmentation/targeting, budget optimization, and sales forecasting to support client decision making.
• Lead status calls with clients, foster efficient collaboration, manage changing client priorities, and resolve data and technical issues to ensure client satisfaction.
• Work across time zones with global teams and client stakeholders.
• Develop project timelines and manage resource utilization to maintain project profitability.
• Define data requirements, coordinate data transfers, gather & validate information, and review model outputs for quality assurance.
• Build strategic summaries, visualizations, and storyboarding for clients based on statistical & mathematical modelling outputs.
• Run budget optimization scenarios, generate forecasts, and perform other analysis/calculations to meet client needs
• Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests, delivering to clients in a timely manner
• Coordinate software support and configuration for clients and act as a subject matter expert on product features and capabilities.
This position requires the following knowledge and skills:
• Familiarity with promotional and marketing data sources, pharma industry marketing strategies.
• Ability to utilize data and models to inform media strategy and identify performance opportunities, partnering with brand and agency stakeholders.
• A knowledge of Pharma-Biotech industry and recent trends, pharma organizational structures and business functions, understanding of healthcare data and its practical applications.
• Ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions and concrete project plans
• Expertise in use of advanced statistical, optimization, and financial models to drive decision making.
• Experience leading a project team, with ability to set and manage expectations and deliver on them to maintain high client satisfaction
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with prior experience communicating analytic and technical concepts to business stakeholders. Must be familiar with information visualization best practices and have experience building analytic focused presentations in PowerPoint.
• Minimum 5+ years experience in Market Research and Business Analytics, Advanced analytics or strategy consulting within Pharma-Biotech organizations or at Healthcare data & analytic vendors and OR as a Data Scientist with 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Marketing, Managed Care/ Access and/or Sales Analytics in the Pharma-Biotech space.
• Deep understanding of Marketing Mix methodologies is preferred.
• Expertise in one or more of programming tools such as R, Python, SAS, and SQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with datasets and data sources in the Pharma/Biotech space including Claims, EMR/EHS, Remit Data, Lab/Diagnostics data, Customer master data, Physician Affiliation data, Specialty Pharmacy & Distribution data is preferred but not required.
• MBA or Masters-PhD in Pharmacy- Pharma -Biosciences related fields or Masters in Economics, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, AI/ML related fields, Operations Research and/or Statistics from top institutes is preferred.
