Dredging International Egypt, a multinational maritime engineering company, is looking for a Senior Accountant in Cairo.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance department by maintaining financial records with attention to detail and accuracy.

Your responsibilities
- Oversee that all incoming/outgoing invoices are recorded in the company’s accounting system and tax e-invoicing system;
- Reconcile company’s accounting system with tax e-invoicing system;
- Make sure accounting records and back-up data are appropriate for tax purposes;
- Prepare local and offshore WHT + VAT declarations;
- Accountable for tax related P/L entries;
- Manage and solve vendor enquiries (disputes -> unsettled invoices/credit notes);
- In charge of vendor requested tax documents;
- Contribute to quarterly and year-end closings in particular AR/AP accruals;
- Prepare monthly reports and periodic analyses of PL expense accounts;
- Oversee the work of junior accountants and assist when needed;
- Be attentive to the improvement of accounting cycles and share knowhow with management;
- Maintain and update historical vendor/customer data.
Your profile
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- 5 years experience in an accounting or finance role is highly desirable;
- Excellent skills in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel;
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail;
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities;
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude with willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges;
- Integrity and commitment to maintain confidentiality in handling financial information.
