If so, then the Account Representative position at Smith is the perfect opportunity for you to elevate your career and become a driving force in our ever-evolving industry. We are looking for a new team member to join our team in Amsterdam to expand our customer portfolio in the French-speaking countries.

In 19 cities around the world, our legion of employees communicates in 50 different languages and dialects and buys and sells components 24 hours per day, with global sales of more than $12 billion over the last five years. We’re always moving; helping manufacturers navigate market shifts, customizing supply chain solutions, testing components using cutting-edge technology, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Navigate diverse online tools and resources such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and CRM to uncover potential customers

  • Venture into the realm of cold calling, reaching out to potential prospects and showcasing Smith's exceptional value-added services

  • Qualify leads meticulously, extracting precise requirements from customers to ensure we are delivering the perfect solutions

  • Harness your expertise in price negotiations, staying abreast of market trends and ensuring favorable agreements for both parties

  • Collaborate closely with our Purchasing and Distribution teams worldwide to maintain a keen understanding of inventory levels and ensuring prompt order fulfillment

  • Nurture and cultivate long-lasting customer relationships, demonstrating empathy, commitment, and the ability to tailor solutions to your customers’ unique needs

Key Requirements:

  • 2-4 years working in sales in the semiconductor industry or similar industries

  • Previous sales or cold-calling experience is a must, providing you with a strong foundation for success in this role.

  • A bachelor's degree is an asset, but equivalent experience can also be considered.

  • A willingness to embrace the challenge of cold calling, demonstrating resilience and tenacity in reaching out to new prospects

  • Self-motivation fueled by a passion for sales and a commitment to achieving results

  • An unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, confidentiality, and the responsible handling of proprietary information

  • Fluent in English and at least one other European language, ensuring seamless communication across diverse customer segments
