This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
Join the team as a Scheduler/Sequence r! Perform various tasks associated with the end-to-end execution of various Order Fulfillment activities related to scheduling and sequencing in support of GM's car and truck brands. This position balances organization needs (VSSM, MSO, and Manufacturing) with those of the GM's Dealers & Customers. Must adhere to common processes / timing to ensure successful go to market execution; and communicate with GM supply chain, plants, field sales, marketing, dealers and customers on issues and / or events as required.
Role Responsibilities:

  • Execute a weekly product schedule that generates optimal supply chain schedules and minimizes exposure to unplanned costs.
  • Provide Assembly Plants with a high-quality sequence of orders for weekly production.
  • Work cross-functionally to mitigate the impact of supplier capacity, assembly plant, and engineering restrictions on dealer facing constraints.
  • Support all activities related to the Allocation & Dealer Consensus Process and the weekly Dealer Order Submission Process.
  • Support all corporate scheduling initiatives that optimize cash flow and drive sales & revenue growth.
  • Proactively gathers and makes sense of complex scheduling issues, develops creative solutions, and communicate clear direction to cross-functional partners
  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of engagement and support in the Order Fulfillment Vertical and Launch Team meetings. Provide written summary with key issues and updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive core efficiencies & best practices into the scheduling/sequencing operational assignment and the Order Fulfillment & Channel Management space.

  • Contribute/provide feedback to the development of new/updated systems and processes
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new/updated systems

  • Demonstrated ability to persist in the face of setbacks.
  • Demonstrates a high level of understanding relative to total enterprise operations.

Additional Description
Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related area
  • 4+ years of experience in field sales, marketing, or supply chain experience, with 2+ years of exposure to Order Fulfillment Operational Processes preferred
  • High level of analytical ability to quickly incorporate continuously changing inputs into the product schedule process.
  • Knowledge of the GM Production Order Management System.
  • Advanced knowledge/experience with GM Logical Language, Production Order Management System (POMS), Vehicle Description Summary (VDS), and Vehicle Order Guide (VOG).
  • High level of oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and time management effectively
