Wage: $19.77/hr
Shift: 1st Shift
6AM - 2:30PM

While reporting directly to the Sample Supervisor, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the tooling department.  The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manually cut raw material to prep for sample thermoforming
• Order raw material using ERP system
• Operate clicker press to trim samples, manually trim if necessary
• Computer usage with file processing, email, Web scheduling, and MS office
• Work within a team environment
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned and necessary – inside or outside of sample department – within capabilities of the employee
• Proficiently polish molds and plugs to production standards
• Deburr and break all sharp edges of parts
• Drill tiny vacuum holes in molds
• Operate bead blaster machine to put a production-level finish on molds

We’d love to hear from you if:

• High School or equivalent, vocational or journeyman+ preferred
• Ability to read/write and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, sketches, and work orders
• Fundamental skills as machinist in metal fabrication, tool making, and mold construction
• Understanding of tolerances and precision measuring 
• Basic computer experiences with file processing, email, Web navigation, and MS office
• Must have a working knowledge of shop math and general hand tools
• Perform all tasks in a safety-conscious manner
• Healthy attitude to work within a team environment
