Position Summary: The Senior (Sr.) Scrum Master/Salesforce Business Analyst is pivotal to driving Agile methodologies and optimizing Salesforce solutions to enhance business processes and outcomes. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Scrum practices and deep understanding of Salesforce functionality to facilitate collaboration, prioritize backlog items, and support delivering value-driven solutions. The ideal candidate excels in communication, requirements gathering, and collaboration with peers, users, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects.
Note: While this position is 100% remote, we are only considering candidates local to the Washington, DC Metro at this time. Due to federal requirements, this position requires US Citizenship. We will only be considering fulltime candidates at this time, no contract.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily stand-ups, Retrospectives, and Sprint Reviews
- Configure and maintain basic Jira project settings including workflows, boards, filters, and permissions in alignment with team needs.
- Support user access requests, role assignments, and permission troubleshooting in Jira and Confluence.
- Create and maintain Confluence pages and spaces for project documentation, team collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop custom Jira dashboards and reports to support team and stakeholder visibility.
- Act as a liaison with internal Jira/Confluence administrators for escalated issues or complex configurations.
- Provide basic end-user support and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on Jira/Confluence best practices.
- Solicit, gather, evaluate, and document information from various sources and stakeholders during business discovery and grooming
- Translate high-level information into detailed requirements and clear, concise user stories with acceptance criteria in JIRA
- Map functional business requirements to Salesforce.com features and functionality; develop as-is and to-be process maps
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to document business and functional requirements into Epic’s and User Stories, or Business Requirements Documents.
- Work as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, operations, and the technical team throughout the project cycle
- Engage with Developers, Solution Architects, and other delivery team members to ensure systems meet business needs
- Participate in and contribute to conversations around process improvement solutioning and architecture on the Salesforce platform
- Facilitates grooming of user stories and participate in sprint execution.
- Engage in testing cycles (UAT, Regression, and system), create Test Plans and Test Cases, and facilitate UAT sessions with business stakeholders.
- Manage feedback in the form of enhancements and bugs, ensuring the quality of the solution output.
- Prepare project-specific documentation and deliverables, including User Guides, Quick Reference Sheets, Train-the-Trainer materials, data dictionaries, communication plans, and training video, as needed.
- Conduct training sessions for end users, as needed
- Assess requirements to produce wireframes, visual flows, process diagrams, and/or fit-gap analysis to devise options for solving business challenges.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, developing plans to escalate and mitigate them effectively
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading and guiding teams with the goal of increasing productivity by leading sprints.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or Computer Science or similar
- Minimum work experience: 5 years of experience as a Sr. Business Analyst with end-to-end Salesforce implementation experience
- Minimum 3+ years working within all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle and an Agile driven development environment
- Salesforce Administration skills are highly preferred.
- Experience conducting simple to complex Sprint Demos
- Excellent listening, oral, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to details
- Experience working in JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Lucid chart SharePoint
- Required Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified SAFe 6.0
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a team-based environment
- Experience working with sandbox and production environments
- Demonstrated adherence to Salesforce.com best practices
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Salesforce Administration Certificate is desirable
- Jira Essentials with Agile, Jira Administration Part 1 & 2 and Confluence Administration are desirable.
- Salesforce Business Analyst Certification is desirable
- Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification, is desirable
- Project Management experience, is a plus
