Job Overview
The Salesforce Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing the Rewards Network Salesforce platform to support Sales, Service, Revenue Operations, and overall business growth. This role exists to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions that enhance user experience, streamline people-driven processes, and enable data-driven decision-making. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, business leaders, and other software engineering teams, to deliver both low-code and pro-code solutions following current Salesforce best practices.
This is a hybrid position and requires in office presence 2-3 days a week in Chicago.
What you’ll bring to the table: (Responsibilities)
• Develop and maintain user-centric custom solutions in Salesforce, using Apex, Lightning Web Components, declarative tools, and integrations with external systems.
• Follow Salesforce and internal best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability while adhering to governance limits.
• Collaborate with Product and Business Stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and participate in Agile development cycles.
• Integrate Salesforce with external platforms via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools as required.
• Optimize and troubleshoot performance issues and security vulnerabilities in Salesforce applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure quality and adherence to internal policies.
• Maintain data integrity and security leveraging role hierarchies, profiles, sharing rules, and field-level security.
• Provide clear technical documentation for users, administrators, and other developers as needed.
• Stay updated on Salesforce releases, features, and industry best practices to continuously enhance the platform and drive innovation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 - 7 years of Salesforce development and administration experience
• Salesforce Platform Developer I, JavaScript Developer I, and Salesforce Administrator certifications
• Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, SOSL, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce declarative features (flows, validation rules, security, etc.).
• Experience with low-code and pro-code development approaches.
• Strong knowledge of the Salesforce security model, sharing rules, roles, permission sets, and profiles.
• Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control (Git), and DevOps tools for Salesforce.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban).
Education, Certifications and Experience: Preferred
• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification
• Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or other Salesforce products
• Experience in Agile environments and working closely with Product and Business teams

• This is a full-time, exempt position and the base compensation for this opening in Chicago is expected to be $110,000-$120,000 annualized, depending on level, candidate experience, skills, and other factors; this position will be eligible for an annual bonus program with a projected target of 10% base annualized salary.
