What You Will Do

The Sales Operations Specialist performs in a dynamic position supporting the Quote-to-Order process interfacing across several areas of the business such as sales, operations, engineering, order management, legal, finance, and shipping to ensure seamless fulfillment of orders with current systems while identifying and working with the appropriate teams for process improvements. One of the main functions includes ensuring the correct usage of Trimble’s operating procedures and compliance with corporate policies while moving quotes and deals through required workflows efficiently and with a highly professional and positive customer experience.

  • Taking the initiative, strong math skills and the ability to anticipate problems before they happen is essential for success in this position.

  • A light understanding of local regulations and operating standards for contractual agreements and general logistics is necessary.

  • You will be responsible for following standard deal procedures, providing escalatory analytical and process support to complex, non-standard deals, reviewing contract booking submissions for accuracy and alignment to our revenue recognition policies, and facilitating approvals from the respective decision-makers.

What Skills & Experience Should You Bring

  • Demonstrable years experience of order processing and/or customer deal experience within a sales team environment.

  • Industry exposure to a technology/hardware/software environment preferred but not essential

  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing and highly dynamic environment

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in technical focus, Finance, Business, Marketing, or related discipline

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Google Suite, Excel, and Domo preferred 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and sound judgment
