We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager to join our dynamic team. The Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the S&OP process to drive alignment between commercial, operations, finance, and other key stakeholders. This role requires a subject matter expert in S&OP planning, strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to drive strategy, planning, supply chain optimization, driving innovation, cost reduction, and quality and service improvements in all regions around the world to maximize business performance. 

This position is in the Irvine, California corporate headquarters and has the opportunity for hybrid work with a few days remote per week.  

 

Your Role: 

  • Strategic thinking: Develop the S&OP vision, strategy and a roadmap based on best-in-class benchmarking within and outside the industry 

  • S&OP Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of globally harmonized S&OP process to ensure alignment of demand, supply, and financial plans. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, finance, production, procurement, and other key stakeholders to gather input, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus in the S&OP process. 

  • Demand Planning: Oversee the demand planning process, including forecasting, analysis of sales trends, and demand shaping strategies to optimize inventory levels and customer satisfaction. 

  • Supply Planning: Manage the supply planning process, including production scheduling, inventory management, and procurement strategies to meet demand while optimizing cost and efficiency. 

  • Financial Integration: Partner with finance teams to integrate financial planning and analysis into the S&OP process, ensuring alignment of operational plans with financial goals and objectives. 

  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the S&OP process and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Risk Management:Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain, such as capacity constraints, supplier disruptions, and market fluctuations, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on business performance. 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate S&OP plans, performance, and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making. 

  • Team Development: Provide mentoring and guidance to a team of S&OP professionals,  to build expertise and enhance capabilities within the organization. 

  • Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives related to process improvements, technology implementations, and cultural shifts to support the evolution of the S&OP function. 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or related field; master’s degree preferred. 

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on S&OP, demand and supply planning; previous experience in a leadership role preferred. 

  • Strong understanding of S&OP processes, methodologies, and best practices, with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration and delivering results. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations. 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 

  • Experienced network modeler – using a variety of analytics tools, including LlamaSoft, and/or JDA. 

  • Proficiency in S&OP software tools (BY, Anaplan, Pigment) and ERP systems as well as advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL skills. 

  • Knowledge and experience in applying data science, AI/ML technologies in driving automation of planning processes 

  • Demonstrated good leadership abilities.t. 

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. 

  • Preferred experience in technology distribution. 

  • Consistent track record of delivering results. 

  • Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles in executing complex, multifunctional scoped projects. 

  • Continuous improvement mindset with validated experience to demonstrate success and impact. 

 

Position may require occasional travel.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $105,500.00 - $179,400.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
