Job Description

The Americas Operations organization is a part of the Finance & Operations organization in our head region Americas, based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The organization plays a crucial role in Axis continuous effort to stay close to our customers and channel – always delivering superior customer experience. Americas Operations consists of three sub functions: Demand & Supply Planning, Fulfillment Operations, and Distribution Operations. The Sales & Operations Planner will be a part of the Demand and Supply Planning team, and report to the manager of that function.

The Demand & Supply Planning team works closely with the other sub functions in the Americas Operations team, the Sales team, and the Global Operations team, based in Lund, Sweden. Being able to successfully collaborate across organizational and cultural borders will be important to succeed in this role. 

The Sales & Operations Planner’s main responsibility will be ensuring all pieces of the Americas forecast are handled properly. They will work closely with HQ in driving proper overall forecasting, with focus on the four main segments; New Business, Projects, Rollover, and the overall trends. This position also has an emphasis on proper operational product lifecycle management.

What you’ll do here as Sales & Operations Planner?

  • Handle the Americas forecast input to the global forecast, following the four main segments.

    • Receive input on the largest customer projects and product lifecycle change to determine their impact on the overall forecast

    • Closely collaborate with the Solutions Acceleration team to understand sales forecast and implications on operational forecasts

    • Basic forecasting and purchasing responsibilities related to regional products

    • Present Americas agreed forecast to the global demand input meeting

    • Review supply planning scenarios and provide best inputs on behalf of Americas Operations

    • Gather inputs on supply capabilities and share implications on a medium and long term horizon to relevant stakeholders (S&OE and S&OP)

    • Collaborate on KPIs related to forecast accuracy and bias

  • Support the Rollover process in the Americas. Including:

    • Run the Americas Operations Rollover meetings, driving cross-functional collaboration

    • Active participant in global product rollover meetings aligned with S&OP portfolio planning

    • Provide forecast input on rollovers with global operations considering Americas distribution behavior

    • Work cross-functionally with Distribution Operations team to drive adoption of strategic inventory management during rollovers

    • Collaborate with pricing regarding transitions and large end customers

    • Bridge relationships with sales and marketing to increase rollover collaboration

    • Execute all administrative rollover & ramp up tasks, such as part set-up, pricelist, discontinuation statements, etc

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Great communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Analytical capabilities

  • Understanding of the indirect sales model and outsourced supply chain model

  • Knowledgeable with supply chain, demand planning, and sales & operations planning best practices

  • Proficient in Excel, demonstrated ability to understand and navigate ERPs and other business intelligence tools with limited instruction

  • Must be self-motivated, lead with strong work ethic, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the management team and colleagues

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in an operational, supply chain, or analytical environment. 

  • Understanding of Axis product portfolio is a plus

Pay range:

The approximate pay range for this location and position is $75-82K OTE. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
