About the Job
As Sales Manager (APAC) your mission will be to work closely with Management and the Sales and Marketing Teams to continue Accelleron's growth path and assist in scaling the business. The successful candidate will have to bring new tech-based services to market while also promoting True North Marine’s legacy services. This position would also involve a strategic component of cross selling activities of TNM and Accelleron digital products. The person will be liaising with clients to provide important insights on the market and participate on strategies around product/service development for the company.
This would be a hybrid position between remote, travel and office depending on company requirements, with the candidate ideally located Singapore. International travel would be required.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to and working with TNM Director of Sales to implement our Strategic Sales Plan to reach sales targets.
- Account management of existing customers and drive sales to attract new business.
- Regular travel to visit new potential customers and existing customers in Asia.
- Working in conjunction with Operations, Product and Customer Success teams to ensure optimal experience for clients.
- Building lasting relationships with customers to foster customer loyalty.
- Able to pitch Accelleron / TNM products to the customers, positioning ourselves as Decarbonization experts.
- Working with customers to better understand their business needs and goals and communicating same to Management.
- Preparing detailed and accurate Sales Reports (via CRM) as well as Sales Forecasts.
- Keep up to date on market developments and forecast future growth areas.
- Extensive networking and visits to regional maritime conferences to raise awareness of Accelleron / TNM brand and products.
- Running of new customer service pilots and successfully convert to regular business.
- After Sales follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction and relay feedback (both positive and negative).
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Minimum 3 years sales experience within the Maritime Sector
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field
- Existing commercial contacts and relationships with vessel operators/charterers
- Affinity for technology combined with good business acumen.
- Knowledge of vessel optimization software or related maritime commercial operations environment is an asset
- Knowledge of Charter Party agreements and vessel performance claims an asset.
- Excellent communicator. Must be fluent in English both written and verbal. Fluency in other languages (for example Japanese) would be an asset.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills – knowledge of the Challenger Sales methodology would be an asset.
- Ability to work in Team Setting while also being highly motivated and able to work on an individual/remote basis.
