This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Calix is looking for a Sales Intern to join our Unlimited Subscriber Sales team for the Summer. You will be part of a unique program within the company which provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning.
This opportunity will provide education into Calix and how sales is enabled and trained so that they can confidently sell to their prospects and customers. This role will provide exposure to different products, solutions, and sales teams. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and wants to optimize new ways to enable our sellers. This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring STEM, Business, or Sales student to come into a fast-paced environment and get real hands-on experience with a modern, data-driven sales operation. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform Salesforce opportunity tracking and sales funnel analysis.
  • Schedule and run calls with key stakeholders to collect data, set reminders, and review information for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updates and reports.
  • Prepare and share reports for management team using Excel reporting, PowerBI, and other tools.
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest ideas to help Calix continuously improve.
  • Learn the Calix value proposition and understand the market that we sell to.
  • Continuously maintain standards of data hygiene in our CRM, ensuring that decisions are made using the best possible data.
  • Help Sales Managers and Sales Engineers identify, track and engage leads for specific targeted campaigns
  • Take and share notes from meetings and calls, with clear action items, owners, and due dates.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred.
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new applications and platforms.
  • Experience in a role or project requiring analytical problem solving and analysis.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of an organization.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to work effectively in a remote environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast changing environments.
  • Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and data entry experience.
  • Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of college and those with previous internship or work experience.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

23.00 - 29.90 USD Hourly

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

20.00 - 26.00 USD Hourly

Regional plus NY:

18.00 - 23.40 USD Hourly
