Position Summary:

Inmar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Account Representative to join our Remarketing team. This role involves managing the liquidation process by selling excess, discontinued, or customer-returned inventory. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational skills, clear communication, has an enthusiasm for sales, and is a team player.

Primary Accountabilities:  

Influence (60%)

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or surpass sales targets. Engage with customers to identify their needs and offer suitable inventory solutions. Present inventory in an accessible and appealing format, including detailed photos. Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all programs we offer, beyond just your primary focus
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies. Contribute ideas during team meetings and work with other Inmar teams to achieve shared goals
  • Execute pricing strategies and promotional activities to boost sales. Ensure all sales transactions meet or exceed established price floors and maximize recovery
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by responding promptly to phone calls, texts, and emails. Address inquiries and guide customers through the purchasing process, ensuring follow-through from initiation to completion
  • Clearly articulate descriptions and pricing for each program. Offer payment options and set expectations for sales and pickup. Secure written acceptance of sale prices from buyers and resolve issues as needed. Maintain professionalism and responsiveness while adhering to Inmar’s policies

Operational (40%)

  • Create and submit order requests promptly. Provide shipping quotes during sales to secure additional revenue and offer another convenient service to your buyers
  • Assist in overseeing inventory levels, including monitoring available inventory, aged products, and less desirable items
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues professionally and efficiently. Escalate complex problems to management as necessary. Develop strategies for selling challenging inventory while maximizing recovery
  • Use our CRM tool to re-engage inactive buyers and conduct initial calls with new prospects as assigned. Research and vet potential new buyers through online sources, social media, and AI to expand our buyer base

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 5-7 years’ sales experience in wholesale, retail, forward or reverse logistics, B2B, calling on leading manufacturers; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
  • Proficiency working with Google Suite, including Google Drive and Microsoft Suite
  • Effectively employ both relational and functional sales techniques (identifying needs, presenting features and benefits, negotiating, closing) in a manner that builds a long-term relationship
  • Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of Inmar products and services, sales and pricing processes and policies
  • Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple prospects and responsibilities 
  • Consistent focus on results and meeting sales objectives with deadline pressures
  • Ability to write/create a detailed and professional business correspondence, reports, and presentative materials
  • Self-motivated to work independently and with minimal direct supervision
