  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned portfolio of accounts, leading relationship building activities across multiple departments including but not limited to customer leadership, procurement, finance, technical, engineering, and operational teams. Drive sustainable revenue and profit growth by developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to significantly increase WFS market activity in the assigned area through all relevant business offerings. Prospect for new commercial and military service business and customers by contacting leads in person, via phone/email, and attending industry events.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales volume and gross profit for the assigned region, growing sales portfolio by following the business plan and strategy. 
  • Develop a very clear understanding of the market and customer dynamics in the assigned region, staying abreast of upcoming changes and relevant opportunities. Develop, refine, and execute strategic plan for assigned portfolio including market analysis of new and emerging customers, existing pipeline management, customer relationship management, and proposal and contract management.
  • Develop relationships with customers and assist them with business development opportunities. Maintain regular communication with customers, especially top customers, and opportunities.
  • Maintain customer relationships through visits, expanding network, raise awareness of WFS. services offerings and opportunities, and problem-solving issues to enhance business. 
  • Prospect for new commercial and military service business by contacting potential clients in person, via phone/email, and attending industry events. Contact military organizations and commercial businesses through leads received by management or developed via research and networking. 
  • Diversify portfolio with significant new customers, and by expanding services offerings with existing customers. 
  • Customer advocate, responsible for managing and collaborating across multi-disciplinary internal and external teams, working closely with operations and technical experts, legal, insurance, risk, financial operations, fuel sales and dispatch teams, quality assurance, sales support, credit, vendor management, and 3rd party vendors to deliver high-quality service and support to airlines, militaries, and special operators. 
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with the operations team and fuel sales representatives to provide the best possible end service to the customer.
  • Provide leadership and thorough briefings and communications to operations team on specific client projects and has a significant impact on the success of the project.
  • Maintain an active knowledge of major suppliers of services in the areas that affect the portfolio’s customers.
  • Develop and negotiate technically sound and competitive proposals, incorporating detailed knowledge of WFS value add, customer needs and buying patterns, and competitor strategies and pricing tendencies, to provide the best offering to customers and best position the company to secure new commercial and government business. 
  • Provide regional activity reports as required by the Commercial Services organization.
  • Be aware of customers that may be having financial difficulties and take steps necessary to prevent any interruption of normal business activities.
  • Process contracts through Legal. 
  • Process assorted paperwork and communications to ensure the proper billing and accounting procedures are in place between customers and WFS by coordinating with departments such as Exposure Control, Credit & Risk, and Financial Operations.
  • Maintain complete and detailed files on customer quotes, customer agreements, price negotiations, and other customer related documents. 
  • May assist the Sales and/or Operations teams with other duties as required by the Commercial Services organization.
