Position: Director of Sales, Amazon

What you will be doing:

Responsible for the management of all sales related activities towards the attainment of delivering annual revenue and direct contribution goals in eCommerce channels and partners. Full responsibility for BU E-Commerce channel customer set including Amazon and pure play eCommerce partners (Zulily, Wayfair, Zappos, etc). Responsible for formulation and implementation of annual plans including, but not limited to managing on-line sales growth, brand presentation, leads cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class execution in-market. Acts as single-threaded-owner for all BU eCommerce activities.

  • Formulates and deliver eCommerce annual operating plans, leading cross-functional execution

    • Understand key strategic objectives and effectively bring them to the marketplace across eCommerce channels and partners.

    • Create, update, and implement annual strategic plans for ecommerce channel to deliver profitable sales growth.

    • Provide strong business and financial acumen, especially in the areas of pricing, forecasting, budgeting to drive sales and profits.

    • Develop, implement and communicate product planning, promotions and initiatives with eCommerce customer(s) in support of mutual business growth and objectives. This includes partnering on the effective investment of eCommerce media budget.

    • Actively monitor, report and improve on these programs to key stakeholders.

    • Establish KPIs and metrics to track and report on performance of processes and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations.

    • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.

  • Cross-functional Leader Internally, with Key Customers and Partners

    • Represent BU eCommerce Sales and Marketing in customer meetings and communication. Lead negotiations and relationship with sales and marketing partners.

  • Lead sales specific eCommerce planning with customers and internal peers, including GTM, assortment mix, and pricing

    • Build relationships and high-level customer satisfaction across customers and departments.

    • Know the customer’s current and future expectations and work with internal and shared service departments to resolve customer concerns.

    • Ability to view problems, issues and needs from a customer’s perspective and then use creative problem-solving to identify appropriate solutions.

    • Develop and manage team to drive new pipeline of eCommerce customers.

  • Team Leadership

    • Act as a leader for 2-5 direct reports, setting near and long term goals and work plan. Acts as functional leader across BU stakeholders.

    • Sets goals for direct and cross-functional teams.

    • Recruits, trains, coach, mentor and motivate direct and cross-functional team

    • Ability to develop SMART OGSM Goals for individual team members and drive their achievement through the planning and prioritizing of key action steps and high payoff activities daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

    • Conduct annual performance reviews of tea members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in related profession/field

  • 8+ years experience within the eCommerce channel for scale consumer brand

  • Demonstrated deep understanding of online/digital channels to include online pricing and promotions, digital marketing and eCommerce fulfillment

  • Must have excellent knowledge of Amazon structure and guidelines

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

In California, Colorado, and New York City, the standard base pay range for this role is $140,504.51 - $210,756.76 annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
