Business Development Associate
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Business Development Associate for our New Braunfels, TX office.

This individual will be responsible for driving business growth through proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic collaboration. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager to tackle challenges and create opportunities in a dynamic environment. They will engage with potential clients, understand their needs, and effectively communicate how Triumvirate Environmental can help them achieve their goals, particularly in sustainability and compliance.
Based on the region you are reporting to, you will have the exciting opportunity to temporarily relocate to our headquarters in Boston for your first 3 months of field training performing our services at client sites followed by 1 month of additional sales training in the corporate office in Boston with your fellow sales team members. Here, you will undergo comprehensive sales training and engage in targeted prospecting activities for your home region. This unique experience in Boston is structured to equip you with advanced skills and knowledge, preparing you for a successful career in sales.
After your sales training in Boston (about 1 month), we will facilitate your relocation back to your home region, where you will apply your newly acquired expertise to drive sales growth and personal success.
Essential responsibilities:
- Assist the sales team and co-manage prospects and customers alongside senior Business Development Managers in all functions of customer service, account management, and business development.
- Support the sales team in identifying, qualifying, and targeting potential customers and markets.
- Utilize cold calls, email campaigns, social media, and other communication tools to generate leads and open new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales team and BDMs to develop strategies for achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Set appointments, follow up on leads, and track progress using CRM software and sales/prospecting tools.
- Manage and prioritize accounts closed by other sales team members to maintain strong client relationships.
- Refine and execute the consultative sales process, deeply understanding prospect goals and solving their challenges.
- Consult with clients to help them reach sustainability goals, positioning Triumvirate Environmental as a trusted partner in environmental solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers to schedule appointments, open new doors, and close business opportunities.
- Create and assist in the development of proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and business objectives.
- Attend industry networking events to promote Triumvirate Environmental and identify prospects or potential networking partners.
- Participate in or lead key account management meetings to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field with a strong interest in pursuing a career in sales.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally, with a positive, enthusiastic, and winning attitude.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience or successful completion of TEI’s Sales Development Program.
- Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and OSHA regulations is a plus.
- Experience using a CRM system, managing sales campaigns, and implementing prospecting strategies to open new business opportunities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a willingness to mentor and coach others.
- Ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities and adapt to change quickly.
- A self-starter who is proactive and able to work independently, or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to help others and contribute to team success.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
- Willingness to consent to a Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening (inclusive of THC).
