JOB PURPOSE:
As the SAP S/4HANA Basis Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical architecture, operations, and strategic planning of our SAP S/4HANA environment. You will lead Basis function and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our S4/Hana systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Your activities will be divided between daily Operational activities (e.g., daily health checks of SAP systems, database administration, client maintenance activities, performance tuning, applying Support Packages & kernel updates) and Project activities (e.g., installations, upgrades, and data migrations) and creating documentation and work instructions.
  • Strong HANA experience and BASIS tech skills in Net weaver concepts and products (ERP or S/4 HANA, BW, PI, FIORI, Solution Manager, BODS, BOBJ, Cloud Connector)
  • Should be able to carry out an audit of any SAP/HANA system to identify the bottlenecks and to do recommendations to improve the performance.
  • Design, develop and maintain scripts for automation and maintenance of DB Environments
  • Collaborates effectively with peer engineers, developers to solve complex problems.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate clearly and with ease with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong Experience with HANA XS/Experience on SAP HANA Administration / Operations
  • You should be familiar with SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, SSO, SLD, Web Dispatcher, Load Balancers, Firewalls etc.
  • Working knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery environments, as well as OS level clustering.
  • Experience in HANA HA and DR Setup.
  • You will ensure service availability 7 x 24, service quality for our support.
  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.


KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 12+ years of SAP experience working across a range of SAP implementations, upgrade, conversion, and migration projects. Experience in SAP RISE/GROW is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team, multi-party/vendor environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs.
  • MUST have hands on experience on Upgrades, Add-on Installations, HANA Scale-out environment and well versed with multi-tenant DBs.
  • Deep knowledge of System Architecture, HANA Technology including High Availability and Disaster Recovery. Backup and Recovery.
  • Experience on UX & Business Technology Platform (BTP) including Cloud Security and Architecture: Single Sign-ON, Infrastructure Security, HANA
  • Experience in Solution Manager
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Working knowledge of various Operating systems esp. Linux, Windows, Sybase. Knowledge of Basic network architecture, Experience in SAP Sizing
  • Experienced with typical support activities including preventive maintenance.
  • SAP Certification and Hyperscaler Certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure) is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
