About the team
The Risk Intelligence Center (RIC) is a newly established team within Nubank’s Non-Financial Risk Brazil structure. It focuses on enhancing predictive and reactive risk monitoring capabilities. The team is responsible for automation, visibility, monitoring, and reporting, leveraging technology and data to provide meaningful risk insights to various stakeholders, from operational teams to executives.
This role will be part of the New Products & Features risk domain, working closely with product teams to ensure that risk is embedded in the development of innovative financial solutions. The NP&F risk function is critical to maintaining a strong risk management culture while supporting Nubank’s mission to revolutionize financial services.
About the role
We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic New Products & Features Coordination Specialist to lead risk management initiatives for new products and features in Brazil. This role will be responsible for ensuring that risks are properly assessed and addressed following Nubank’s risk governance framework, engaging with stakeholders at different seniority levels, and preparing structured risk analyses for technical forums and risk committees.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in risk management, governance, and data analysis and be able to translate complex risk insights into actionable recommendations. Additionally, they must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
This position requires excellent communication skills, as it involves interacting with senior managers and presenting risk assessments in executive forums. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage risks for new products and features, ensuring they are addressed according to the risk management governance model and aligned with Nubank’s strategic guidelines.
- Engage with stakeholders across different seniority levels, including senior managers, to ensure visibility and effective risk management for new products and features.
- Continuously monitor the control environment, identify process gaps, and collaborate with governance and risk management teams to mitigate risks effectively.
- Prepare structured analyses and reports, consolidating actionable insights and effectively communicating results to stakeholders, technical forums, and risk committees.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business Administration, Industrial engineering, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience leading with risk management in a complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, governance, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and corporate governance standards.
- Strong knowledge of Control Testing and Monitoring throughout substantive tests.
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems.
- Experience in financial institutions is desirable.
- Fluent in English.
