Regional Channel Manager

As the Regional Channel Manager, you will sell products and/or services to customer then empower the team in transition of the account to an account manager or relationship manager for ongoing maintenance and service. Responsible for development of accounts and/or generating new business from existing accounts. Pursue sales leads and visit customer sites within assigned territory defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service segment.
Primary Activities/Duties/Competencies:
- Develop and deploy a strategic selling and marketing plan to effectively penetrate assigned distributor accounts.
- Work with the General Manager and Account Managers to define an overall regional channel strategy, manage deployment and maintenance.
- Facilitate a cross-functional effort between manufacturing, outside sales, inside sales, commercial leaders, solution engineers, project managers, distribution channels and business development leaders to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Grow business at established accounts, develop new accounts and find share shift and incremental sales from these accounts.
- Provide support, training, and leadership at assigned distributors with inside sales, outside sales, operations, and principals.
- Develop value propositions to meet customer needs.
- Establish relationships with key distributor buying influences at the principal level.
- Facilitate the development of strategic growth plans with Distributors and utilize the strategic selling methodology to execute overall channel strategy.
- Work closely with General Manager and Account Managers to implement and execute local/tactical strategy.
- Become a key contributor in developing the regional market strategy in addition to driving regions success.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we seek; is for someone with a strong analytical mindset to identify trends and opportunities in addition to;
- Degree in business, engineering (ME/EE/IE) or marketing and demonstrated related sales experience preferred or equivalent demonstrated sales experience in the electrical industry;
- Distributor sales and support experience required;
- Extensive knowledge of electrical enclosures, climate control products or automation preferred;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
