Job Description

As a Regional Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing regional purchasing strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and driving value through optimized costs and efficient business processes. You will be an integral part of our dynamic Indirect Sourcing organization, contributing to key objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability. Your responsibilities will span a broad range of indirect categories, requiring strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:
  • Execute regional purchasing strategies and manage tenders, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, focusing on optimizing costs, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Drive continuous efforts in sustainable spend management, reducing waste, and enhancing process efficiency.
  • Project Management and Execution:
  • Identify sourcing needs and collaborate with stakeholders to build detailed specifications.
  • Prepare and execute Request for Quotation (RFX) processes, analyze quotations, and select or recommend suppliers.
  • Approve purchase requests in the system to make sure sourcing projects decisions are met, and proper sourcing process is followed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
  • Maintain close proximity to the business, supporting local and regional needs, and leading project execution.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Work closely with Global Category Managers to achieve strategic goals, including governance of category management strategies, cost savings, supplier and spend consolidation, and leveraging preferred vendor relationships.
  • Supplier Management and Onboarding:
  • Initiate and manage the supplier onboarding and qualification workflow, assessing suppliers against sourcing criteria.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance and effective contract lifecycle management.
  • Process Improvement and Support:
  • Support internal users through the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, including the use of Coupa (Easysource eProcurement platform), buying channels, PO processing, and catalog management.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and solutions.
  • Contract Management:
  • Negotiate contracts and Statements of Work with local suppliers, aligning with global category rules and customizing for the assigned region.
  • Keep good records of contracts in the Contract Lifecylce Management Tool(CLM), ensure proper approvals are granted and follow up on renewals.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related fields
  • Proven Experience in sourcing or procurement areas – preferably within a multinational company
  • Good understanding with common eProcurement tools and process
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently within established guidelines
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently within established guidelines.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on delivering value and achieving strategic objectives.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and embracing changes and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Engineering background is a plus
