As a member of the sales team, our Regence Community Relations Director - Washington acts as a strategic representative across Regence's four-state footprint, serving as the primary liaison for Market Presidents and orchestrating local and corporate resources to drive growth. With expertise spanning sales, community engagement, provider contracting, and regulatory affairs, this leader implements market strategies while connecting corporate initiatives with local execution to advance Regence's market position and brand strength – all in service of making our members’ health journeys easier

Qualifications:

The Community Relations Director would have a bachelor’s degree in business, Communications or related field with 12 years’ experience in public policy, community relations, business development or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.

MBA or MHA preferred.

Insurance background preferred
Skills and Attributes:

Proven experience working in a matrixed environment, with demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including Board presentations and strategy facilitation.

Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare and health insurance industries, including business relationships, economics, and market dynamics.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to articulate detailed policies clearly and present effectively in various public settings.

Demonstrated sound judgment, critical thinking, and strategic analysis capabilities.

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels and develop coalitions with external partners (Chambers of Commerce, community agencies, business forums).

Strong community relations experience with political acuity and savvy, including established ties across various community sectors.

Proven ability to represent the organization professionally while demonstrating discretion in communication and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
What You Will Do at Cambia:

Represent the Plan President's office and steward organizational priorities, serving as a liaison between cross-functional teams to drive market-level performance.

Share market insights and trends with stakeholders to inform strategic opportunities across sales, government affairs, communications, and corporate philanthropy.

Accelerate growth through sales engagement with top accounts and key prospects while activating necessary resources and relationships across the region.

Develop and grow brand awareness through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and board participation in emerging markets.

Create and implement market engagement strategy through sponsorships, events, and thought leadership opportunities, ensuring active presence in community and industry boards.

Provide oversight of social media strategy in partnership with Marketing and external communications teams.

Collaborate with the company's foundation and Corporate Social Responsibility team to direct resources toward healthcare transformation initiatives and community wellbeing programs.
The expected hiring range for the Regence Community Relations Director - Washington is $147,100 - $199,000 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history. The bonus target for this position is 20%. The current full salary range for this role is $138,000 - $225,000. #LI-hybrid
