Overview
Axle is looking to add a driven, flexible, organized, and meticulous Recruitment and Outreach Specialist to our dynamic team. The Contractor(s) shall provide services in support of the overall functions of the Office of the Director (OD), Immediate Office of the Director (IOD).
Technical Requirements:

Development of the RECOVER-TLC Communications and Community Engagement Strategy addressing:
-
An assessment of the needs from the patient, academic, health care provider, and industry communities for regular and timely communications between RECOVER-TLC and these communities
-
Identification of mechanism(s) to engage these communities in the first sub-bullet, especially the patient community, in all levels of RECOVER-TLC including the Prioritization WG, Scientific/Clinical WGs, Scientific Oversight WG, and Operations Oversight WG

Identification of several approaches for community input to be provided to the Executive Committee

Identification of several approaches for NIAID and FNIH to work in a complementary manner in the areas of Communications and Community Engagement to avoid duplication and unnecessary overlap

Development of a proposal for staffing, organization, and specific roles to routinely manage both Communications and Community Engagement for RECOVER-TLC
o Design of an evaluation process to monitor on an ongoing basis RECOVER-TLC’s ability to successfully communicate and engage the four communities cited above

Development of an Implementation Plan and Timeline for the RECOVER-TLC Communications and Community Engagement Strategy addressing:

Design and conduct a needs assessment of the communications and community engagement needs of each of the four communities addressed above

Develop specific strategies to implement the findings of the needs assessment, e.g., monthly webinars, e-newsletters, blogs, forums, etc.

Determine the frequency by each of these communities for an update/workshop and how best to convene such an event – hybrid vs. virtual. The latter may be useful due to patients’ limitations due to health, cost, time away from home/work, and ability to travel.

Specific Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a science related field.
-
Six (6) years of experience in a related field.

Experience establishing collaborative relationships with a variety of community organizations concerning NIH-sponsored clinical trials.

Extensive knowledge of NIH and HHS policies, procedures, and regulations in regard to community engagement and communications, social media, and public interaction
-
Excellent communication skills.

Advanced MS Office application skills.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
