We are now looking for a UK based Research and Innovation Manager to join our team.
What our Research and Innovation Manager will do
As part of our R&D management team, our Research and Innovation Manager will take ownership of driving research initiatives and fostering innovation within our organization.
Key responsibilities will include
Driving and Coordinating Research Activities
- Chairing the Research Review Board to evaluate the feasibility of new projects
- Proposing and leading ground-breaking projects aligned with our product and process roadmaps
- Actively managing R&D long term roadmap
- Actively participating in Nexperia’ s Technology Scouting organization, reporting on UK-based collaborations and potential acquisitions
- Maintaining an overview of UK-based subsidies as part of Nexperia’ s Subsidy Review Board
- Building strong partnerships with universities and facilitating collaborative research projects
Managing Conference Papers and Patent Submissions
- Chairing the Invention Disclosure Meeting to review and assess new ideas
- Evaluating the merits of conference papers and patent applications submitted by our team
- Supporting inventors in refining invention disclosures for improved quality and impact
- Representing the department on Nexperia’ s Patent Review Committee, championing new proposals
- Investigating and analysing competitor intellectual property positions
- Leading the review committee for conference paper submissions
What you will need
Essential:
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of MOSFET device physics, processing, and assembly - preferably Power MOSFETs
- Attention to Detail: A strong analytical and inquisitive mindset
- Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical audiences
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to manage stakeholders and align activities with long-term goals
Beneficial:
- Experience reviewing conference papers, and patent applications, and evaluating their merits
- Knowledge of Power MOSFET applications, reliability, and failure analysis
- A track record of successfully chairing multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural meetings
