Responsibilities:
- You lead and execute product development projects following a stage gate process in close cooperation with sales & production teams as well as customers.
- You will scout for new opportunities & generate ideas and solutions to fulfil customer or market needs.
- You will develop and improve products with trials on industrial production lines, in pilot plants and with external finishing processes.
- You will define specifications and production parameters together with process engineering, production, quality and sales teams.
- You will select and test new raw materials, also in consideration of product safety, environmental aspects and regulations.
- You will write new patents, monitor patent infringement, analyze competitor products and patents, etc.
Qualifications:
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in textiles, polymers, materials science or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred
- You have initial experience in nonwovens, textile chemistry or engineering, and a good knowledge in polymers, melt spinning, spunlaid technology and product development.
- You enjoy project management; you excel at managing time and can you handle multiple tasks effectively.
- You possess entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently in a fast paced & dynamic environment.
- You are a team player and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent communication skills in both French and English. German is a plus.
