QphoX is looking for a Quantum Photonics Engineer/Scientist to design and develop integrated nonlinear conversion devices between various wavelengths. To achieve our mission, we are looking for highly motivated candidates with strong engineering principles, resourcefulness, and deep expertise.

Joining a dynamic team with a rich diversity of backgrounds and nationalities, you'll be at the forefront of developing the next generation of devices aimed at elevating their performance to new heights.

You will be involved in:

  • Design of integrated quantum photonic devices
  • Measurements of next generation integrated optical devices
  • Analyzing, summarizing, and sharing your results.
  • Working in collaboration with fabrication, measurement and simulation scientists and engineers.

Skills and knowledge you will bring to QphoX:

  • Ms or PhD with practical experience in Quantum Optics/Integrated Photonics
  • Hands-on experience in areas such as entangled photon pairs or heralded single photon generation, photon pair correlation functions measurements, HOM and HBT experiments, or other laboratory techniques.
  • Experience with single phonon detectors, time taggers, cameras, microscopes, optical fibers.
  • Good knowledge in quantum and nonlinear optics, integrated photonics.
  • Proficient in Python for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Quick to learn new techniques for different tools
  • Positive towards working within a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, scientists and technicians with a wide range of expertise
  • Good organizational and planning skills to achieve set goals on time

Supplementary skills set:

  • Experienced with FDTD or frequency domain optical simulation software’s (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS Lumerical, MEEP).
  • Previous experience in cleanrooms nanofabrication
