Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality control and assurance efforts. This individual will be responsible for implementing and overseeing quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow our COQ process to develop, implement, and maintain quality control to ensure products meet industry and company standards.
• Monitor production processes to identify defects, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Lead a team of quality inspectors and train employees on quality standards and procedures.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing.
• Work closely with the idX Regional Quality Manager to maintain a .7% cost of quality within plant 494
Qualifications:
• Minimum high school diploma/GED.
• Manufacturing experience or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in a wood manufacturing or related industry.
• Knowledge of use of measuring devices including tape measure to 1/32” and digital calipers.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Working knowledge of ERP software is a plus.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborate across teams, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
