Job Summary
Are you passionate about ensuring quality and compliance through the power of data? Reporting to the Food Safety and Quality Director, the Quality Data Manager will own several key functions related to specification data quality, regulatory compliance, and change management for Black Rifle Coffee Company products.
Your first mission? Lead the implementation and maintenance of our Product Specification System, powered by TraceGains, the backbone of our data operations. You’ll develop project timelines, collaborate with vendors, and manage the scope and direction of this critical initiative. Beyond the system launch, you’ll champion organizational data management changes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with North American labeling regulations from product ideation to packaging approval.

This position will also assure compliance with North American finished product labeling regulations during the product development process from product labeling creation through final packaging approval.
Job Details
Leadership and Functional Responsibilities

Lead with Purpose: Drive the integration and management of the TraceGains Product Specification System, ensuring data quality and operational excellence.

Data Mastery: Create and route specifications for materials, formulas, and finished goods for both food and non-food Black Rifle Coffee Company products.

Compliance Leadership: Ensure specifications comply with functional, quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements, and meet key deadlines.

Vendor Engagement: Assess vendor compliance with specification and documentation standards and maintain accurate supplier and manufacturer records through portal entries.

Process Improvement: Innovate and refine internal and external processes related to specification management.

Regulatory Expertise: Stay ahead of North American labeling regulations to ensure compliance and manage label claims and certifications with precision.

Team Collaboration: Partner with Research & Development, influencing cross-functional teams to support product innovation projects and organizational goals.
Education and Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Regulatory Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (preferred).

Minimum of 3+ years of food industry project management experience with a focus on data management and regulatory compliance.

Hands-on experience with TraceGains or similar quality data management systems (strongly preferred).

Deep understanding of North American labeling laws, including food additives, nutrition, ingredients, standards of identity, and claims.

Proven track record of managing end-to-end product development processes and regulatory compliance.

Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines.

High proficiency in computational tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and NetSuite.
