The PPAP Coordinator will coordinate all steps and processes in the production part approval process for the operations team. This position will also manage the receiving inspection process and the quality database system as it relates to receiving inspection activities.What You Need to Know:
- Review and disposition of all PPAP submissions and recording into the PPAP database to include assigning to appropriate engineer, maintain database with updates and corrections, assign numbers to new PPAPs, move PPAPs form submitted to approved status, route approved PPAPs to records.
- Review all PPAP documents from suppliers for accuracy and coordinate with suppliers any corrections that need to be made.
- Approve PPAP decals from Emissions and in-house parts.
- Ships sample parts
- Final approval for released documents.
- Initiates part approval in RFQ database
- Responsible for monthly safety training the Receiving Inspection team.
- Closely works with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and outside vendors on PPAP and receiving inspection nonconformance material.
- Creates new control plans, updates revision changes on existing controlled documents
- Member of the Internal Audit Team
- Responsible for various reporting utilizing PowerPoint and excel.
What We Are Looking For:
- Associates degree or equivalency
- 1-3 years’ experience in quality.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of MS office software applications, including advanced skills in Excel
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in prioritizing and completing tasks
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including overtime as business requires
