We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Manager based in Lakewood, Colorado to ensure the highest quality standards are met on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This position requires a proactive leader who can collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement and enforce the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP); Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and project specifications (e.g., UFGS, federal regulations); Review project plans, submittals, and specifications to identify and resolve potential quality issues.

  • Inspection & Testing: Conduct routine inspections and testing of materials, processes, and completed work to ensure quality standards are met; Coordinate with third-party testing agencies as needed. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

  • Submittal Process Management: Oversee the submittal process to ensure timely review and approval of materials and procedures; Track and maintain submittal logs for project documentation.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to address quality concerns; Foster a collaborative approach to quality control, ensuring alignment with project goals.

  • Training & Leadership: Provide training and guidance on quality control procedures to project staff and subcontractors; Promote a culture of quality and accountability across all project stakeholders.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain all quality-related documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and non-conformance reports; Report quality performance metrics to management and recommend improvements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in construction quality control/quality assurance.

  • Valid USACE/NAVFAC CQ/CM certificate at time of hire is required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices, construction materials, and methods.

  • Familiarity with UFGS specifications and federal project requirements (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IBC, ASTM, OSHA).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Certification in quality control or related areas (e.g., LEED, PMP) is a plus.
