Position Title: Quality Control Manager
Location: Willebroek, Belgium
Position Overview:
The position of Site Quality Manager reports to the Site Manager. He/she is an important member of the site management team and will focus on improving processes to achieve zero defects and maximum customer satisfaction return.
The employee has the responsibility and authority to ensure compliance with customer requirements (selection of special features, setting of Quality objectives and associated training, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development; analysis of capacity, logistics data and analysis of customer indicator dashboards and consultation of customer internet portals).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Organize quality by deploying HB Fuller quality policies in the Willebroek Plant.
- Coordinate the activities of the quality control laboratory: release of products and lead the resolution of non-conformities.
- Coordinate the Quality management system.
- Coordinate the development and processing of customer complaints.
- Promoting Quality Awareness.
- Collaborate with the EIMEA Quality Manager.
- Manage customer audits and on-site certification audits.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s in chemistry or Diploma in chemical engineering or process engineering with 8 years of professional experience; EHS, regulatory would-be a plus,
- Very good spoken and written English and Dutch language skills,
- Good teamwork with high communication skills, ability to inspire enthusiasm others and to carry out demanding projects,
- +4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment,
- +3 years of experience in the chemical industry, adhesive industry or specialty chemicals or pharmaceutical industry,
- Ability to analyze and evaluate a manufacturing process,
- Knowledge of Quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, FSCC 22 000) and Lean tools (6 sigma certification would be a plus),
- Good computer skills, MS Office and MS Project, Word, Excel, Power point.
- Ability to work independently,
- Hands-on mentality
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment,
Preferred Requirements:
- Qualified and experienced quality auditor,
- Experience in international companies, working with different cultures,
- Leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
