The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for inspecting products at various stages of the production process (incoming inspection of products to finished goods). They will compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. The success of this role is vital to the continuous improvement efforts of the company, as well as the success of the plant operation to meet and exceed customer expectations. Key performance metrics of this position include safety, product quality, on-time delivery, and productivity. The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the Quality Assurance team and report to the Plant Manager.

Required job duties and skills:

  • Ability to interact/communicate with all levels within the organization as well as customers and suppliers – both written and verbally
  • Knowledgeable in Process Control/Process Capability/Six Sigma Methodologies
  • Proficient in Root Cause Analysis methods and data analysis
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and equipment
  • Capable of taking quality initiatives and incorporating them into plant goals/objectives
  • Understand/drive Quality Management System elements and ISO standard, maintaining certification
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and respond to issues quickly
  • Manage multiple functions of:

    Internal inspection and quality issues

    Customer quality

    Supplier quality

    Gage control

    Internal auditing and Quality Management System

    Quality initiatives

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with quality control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience leading direct reports is strongly preferred.
  • General computer skills to effectively use Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Good interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
