Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our IT team.  Reporting to the Manager, Development, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing, defect tracking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements to create functional, regression, integration, and system testing across multiple platforms and environments.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing across multiple platforms and environments
  • Utilize SQL to create, execute, and validate data-driven test scenarios and verify back-end processes
  • Track and manage defects using Jira or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting
  • Document and maintain test documentation in Confluence for knowledge sharing and future reference
  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Continuously identify, suggest, and implement improvements in QA processes and testing strategies
  • Ensure all software releases meet the required quality standards before deployment

Requirements and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance , including functional, regression, integration, and system testing across multiple platforms and environments
  • Experience writing and executing SQL queries for data validation
  • Proficiency in Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management
  • Experience working with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
  • In-depth knowledge of defect tracking processes and tools
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously with and with full accountability for the work
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule - KEV Group employees will be expected to go into the office 3 days per week, in either our North York or Cambridge location.
