We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps QA Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. As a DevOps QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to integrate testing into the DevOps pipeline and ensure that our applications are released with high quality and minimal defects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of testing methodologies and tools. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills with engineering mindset and principals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and Appium.
- Integrate automated tests into the DevOps pipeline using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
- Work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the quality and stability of software products.
- Manage and maintain test environments.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify and report defects.
- Stay up to date on the latest DevOps trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a related role.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Deep knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and security testing.
- Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Cucumber, or JMeter.
- Experience with test management tools, such as JIRA or TestRail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as OCI or AWS.
- Understanding with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies, including:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or Ansible
- Containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Infrastructure monitoring tools, such as Prometheus or Grafana
