QA Engineer, Player Experience - League of Legends

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will run the QA process for your team. You will work with your team of software engineers, content developers, artists, producers and project managers to create value for Players around the world. You will be guided by Riot's Test Policy to ensure the execution of quality activities at every stage of the software development life cycle. Additionally, you will partner with your team to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems and improve delivery. You will also be tasked to work with other QA professionals, often remotely to get your work completed.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer for the Summoner’s Rift Team you will work with engineers, designers, artists, and producers in order to maintain and improve the Summoner’s Rift experience. You will be primarily accountable for the quality of League of Legends player behavior systems consisting of both prosocial systems & negative player behavior detection. You will also work with your peers on gameplay balance patches, seasonal updates, and other features pertaining to the League of Legends experience. You will ensure the execution of all test coverage within your projects, including creating test plans, validating designs, highlighting risks to quality, and partnering with external QA teams. You will report to a QA Manager.

Responsibilities: 

• Create, manage, and operate test plans for your teams’ work
• Manage testing activities for your team 
• Collaborate with different disciplines in order to define, measure, improve, and report on quality
• Call out risks, impact, probability, and help plan mitigation
• Actively participate in product design, playtesting, and give constructive feedback
• Manage external partner testing teams

Required Qualifications:

• Familiarity with League of Legends across multiple seasons 
• Experience with creating test plans, managing defect databases, and risk analysis
• Experience working directly with developers and content creators
• 2+ years Software Quality Assurance Experience, with success leading testing efforts on a team
• Experience tasking remote testers

Desired Qualifications: 

• Experience working on competitive online games 
• Experience improving quality for a team, project or other multidisciplinary effort
• Experience with scripting, game modding, or programming
• Experience working with API’s
