The Publisher Sales & Account Director will be directly responsible for leading a team of Account managers & Sales Manager across South Korea to develop growth strategy for an existing book of publisher business and sales strategy for acquiring new publisher inventory. 

The Publisher Sales and Account Director must take a long-term perspective for the Korean publisher business, acting as a custodian for overall areas beyond immediate performance. This entails being the ambassador for Taboola's reputation, shaping perceptions with publishers in the market, and strategically improving Taboola’s marketing approach. 

Acting as a strategic consultant, this person will partner cross-functional teams to lead senior client relationships and identify up-sell/optimization opportunities at scale. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in leading diverse teams in a matrix organization, strong analytical skills, and a hunger to learn and deliver results.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Strategic Sales and Account Management:

  • 13+ years of experience in digital media, publisher partnerships, or adtech, with a strong track record of managing and growing strategic publisher accounts.
  • Proven success in consultative selling to senior stakeholders and negotiating complex commercial deals.
  • Experience overseeing both new business development and account expansion strategies.

People Leadership:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and coaching high-performing sales and account management teams within a matrixed or global organization.
  • Ability to inspire and develop talent through clear direction, active support, and a focus on learning and development.
  • Skilled at managing performance and driving alignment toward team goals.

Market Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of the South Korean digital media landscape, especially within the publishing sector.
  • Fluency in Korean and English, with the ability to navigate local cultural and business nuances effectively.

Analytical and Operational Acumen:

  • Strong analytical capabilities, including comfort with forecasting, pipeline management, performance metrics, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce) and understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working with App based publishers
  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising monetisation, native advertising, or content recommendation platforms.

How you’ll make an impact:

Account Management & Sales Management: 

  • Possessing a deep understanding of the publisher landscape, turn challenges into opportunities through crafting strategic vision for the existing book of business and manage a robust pipeline of new business accurately forecasting new business closure rate and revenue booked
  • Develop quarterly strategic account growth plan on existing Book of Business to meet overall business targets 
  • Develop sales plans to ensure a quality pipeline of leads, pursuing them and closing strategic publisher deals
  • Using exceptional consultative sales skills partner cross-functional teams to lead senior client relationships and identify up-sell/optimization opportunities at scale 
  • Monitor and analyze metrics and proactively take steps to improve results across the region, through the wider account management team to drive collective success 
  • Communicate business intelligence from clients to the product management team in regards to new product development features
  • Work cross-functionally with advertiser side of business to advocate for Advertiser success by consulting with Taboola's advertiser side from the publisher's viewpoint.

People Management: 

  • Proactively engage cross-functional teams to execute the growth strategy and drive Publisher success.    
  • Develop Account Management & Sales team’s personal growth plan, actively upskilling the team by staying up to date on best practices within Taboola and calibrating them to the APAC market in collaboration with Country Manager   
  • Supporting the Account Management & Sales teams on client management, coaching them to hit their goals, budgeting and scaling.
