Our role:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring that they are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. They follow proven methodologies to build customer confidence and ensure value-add to customer implementations and ensure that the solution works for end users.
The role reports to the Regional Services Director and has no people management responsibilities.
A day in your role
- Delivery of projects between $100K and $1m in accordance with the Objective Project Management Methodology, including adherence to the Objective methodology framework.
- Project planning, budget management, risk management, issue management, personnel management, client management, commercial issue management, and testing management related to projects.
- Set work assignments, and review/appraise consultants’ delivery of own projects on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure long term customer success across assigned customers, manages relationships between the project team and the customer to ensure provision of successful solutions for customers.
- Execute assigned tasks within the prescribed framework, including all deliverables from scoping, analysis, configuration, prototyping, training, change management, and skills transfer.
- Each customer site to be referenceable through ensuring not only that the customer’s timelines and budgets are met, but also that the delivered solution delivers the intended business outcome.
- Support the Regional Services Director by contributing through timely reporting, accurate forecasting, and support with resource planning/resource management.
- Ensure continuous improvement in the “way we work at Objective” through contribution to Best Practice via improvements in our methodology. Contribute to the Project Management and Business Analyst forum and knowledge base.
Your skills, experience and beyond:
- Strong IT Project Management experience with projects ranging from $100K to $1M.
- Extensive involvement in framing, planning, and completing implementation projects.
- Strong consulting experience, preferably from a product background, with an excellent understanding of the end-to-end consulting process.
- Formal project management accreditation e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK highly desirable.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to engage at all levels with stakeholders within Objective, and our customers.
- Works both autonomously and as an effective part of a team.
- Self-motivated and resilient, able to adapt to unexpected changes and challenges.
- Highly analytical with creative and effective problem-solving skills.
- Makes timely and effective decisions by assessing risks, evaluating alternatives, and applying judgment.
- Applies knowledge of industry business drivers and best practices to business operations.
