Job Description
The Systems / Solutions Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end automation projects, integrating both electrical and mechanical components into comprehensive solutions for industrial clients. This role requires expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering principles, along with strong project management skills to ensure successful delivery of turnkey automation solutions within scope, budget, and schedule.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans for turnkey industrial automation solutions, encompassing both electrical and mechanical aspects.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Manage cross-functional internal teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, automation specialists, and software developers, to define project scope and deliverables.
- Delegate roles and responsibilities, provide direction and support, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, deliverables, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate resource allocation to meet project requirements and timelines.
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards, including regular inspections and testing to verify the functionality and performance of automation solutions.
- Proactively identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Proven 3-5 years experience as a project manager in industrial automation or related industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of both electrical and mechanical engineering principles, automation systems, and project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results and exceeding client expectations
