Job Description:

The Project Manager I, AWS Migration oversees the migration of clients and onboarding new clients to our hosting platform. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring a seamless transition for our clients.

  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for client migrations. Understand the scope of each engagement and ensure requirements are met.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the migration process, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, sales, and support staff to ensure all aspects of onboarding are executed smoothly.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to projects and facilitate discussions on mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including migration plans, status reports, and post-migration reviews.
  • Training & Support: Coordinate training sessions for clients on the new hosting platform and provide ongoing support during and after the migration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from clients and team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance future migrations.
  • Profitability: Ensure projects are delivered on time and under budget. Maintain billable utilization requirements.
  • Handoff: Ensure a seamless handoff to production support of small to mid-sized clients to ensure retention of recurring revenue.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in project management, preferably in IT or hosting environments.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: Strong understanding of hosting solutions and migration processes. Proficiency in project management tools 
  • Skill in: Project management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
