The opportunity
As a Digital Factory Implementation Manager, you will lead the transformation of our global operations by harmonizing IT tools in our factories. This role involves transitioning from various software tools currently used to track operations and record quality data to a more streamlined approach focusing on three main systems: SAP, HVPLM (High-Voltage Product Lifecycle Management), and DPS (Digital Passport System). Additionally, the Digital Factory concept includes the integration of machines and other equipment with our MES system to directly capture live operational and quality data. Your efforts will be pivotal in reducing complexity and maintenance costs across our operations by limiting the variety of software and IT solutions used.
You will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Digital Factory concept in our factories worldwide. This role involves working closely with local teams in multiple locations, guiding them in finding solutions that fit within the Digital Factory framework. You will also help develop, define, and refine the global approach for Digital Factory implementations, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all locations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
-
Lead the implementation of the Digital Factory concept in our local units around the world
-
Analyze, understand and interpret the needs and demands of the local units and translate to actionable requirements for systems developers
-
Guide and lead local project leaders to implement Digital Factory solutions in their respective factories, in alignment with global Digital Factory best practices, rules, and guidelines
-
Help the local units transition away from local custom solutions to run the operations, to solutions using SAP / HVPLM / DPS instead, to the furthest extent possible
-
Develop and continuously refine the global approach for Digital Factory implementations
-
Run up to 3 Digital Factory implementation projects at the same time
Your Background
-
More than 5 years of experience in operations, preferably with process management and quality experience
-
Expertise in systems integration and IT demand processes
-
Strong understanding of production processes; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred, Yellow Belt mandatory
-
Excellent project management skills, including PM and Agile PM methodologies
-
Knowledge of Automation Engineering, IoT solutions, and Cybersecurity
-
A good understanding of SAP, HVPLM, and DPS systems, or at least one of them, with the ability to quickly learn about the others
-
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
-
Capable of making the case for change and demonstrating the benefit of using Digital Factory over the current approach
-
Skilled at engaging on a personal level and motivating people to get things done in the local factories.
